A video of Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma schooling a man for littering the road had gone viral on social media. The clip which was shared on Twitter by her husband and cricketer Virat Kohli supporting her for "rightfully" stopping a man for throwing plastic out of his car. The video kickstarted debates on how educated people also litter the streets and do not bother about the environment.
Meanwhile, the man pulled over by Anushka has taken to social media with what he felt about the whole incident. Arhhan Singh took to Facebook saying, "Horrible! So I happened to carelessly Litter an sq mm of plastic while driving! A car passing by rolls their window down and there we have our wonderful Anushka Sharma ranting and yelling like a crazy roadside person! [sic]."
Arhhan added in his post saying, "While I'm apologetic for my carelessness, Mrs AnushkaSharma Kohli a little etiquette and politeness in ur dialogue wouldn’t have made u a lesser star !! There are all kinds of manners and hygiene .. verbal etiquette is one of them! [sic]," he said.

As the video went viral, people took sides in deciding if Anushka's approach was right. Considering she is a huge star in the country and fans take inspiration from their favourite celebrities, many deemed the actor's response inappropriate.
Virat had captioned the video asking fans to do the same in a similar situation. The tweet reads, "Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness."

As the video went viral, memes and jokes flooded on social media. Soon, supporting his wife, Virat tweeted the following:

Some internet users also tweeted how she could have handled the situation in a better way by politely addressing the issue. Most supported the actor saying only one-sided conversations like these are useful. But considering the amount of plastic we have littered on the planet, it is high time we become responsible citizens and do out a bit in keeping our surroundings clean.
