Mumbai, August 27: In a shocking incident, a boy jumped off a local train in Mumbai’s Mumbra station after allegedly snatching a girl's mobile. The girl also jumped off the train to catch the accused. She got severely injured and was admitted to a local hospital. The boy was arrested by the police and has been identified as Ansari. The video of the entire incident has surfaced on social media.
It is not the first time that the snatching incidents have taken place in local trains. Earlier this month, a video of a group of teenagers performing stunts on moving local trains in Mumbai had gone viral on social media. In the video, it could be seen that one of the youth snatched a mobile phone from a commuter standing on the railway platform.

They recorded the entire incident on the selfie camera. The incident took place on the Harbour line between Chunabhatti and GTB Nagar stations. After the video went viral, the Railway Police Force (RPF) nabbed the culprits. According to a data compiled by the Western Railway, Andheri station has topped the list of theft cases, with 1,825 cases, in just six months. Meanwhile, 1,461 incidents of theft were recorded in Bandra station whereas 1,429 cases took place in Borivali.
