Reason for Mother's Day on different dates in different countries

Mother's Day came into being in 1914 in America following campaigns established during the Civil War by moms. Anna Jarvis the leader of the movement founded Mother's Day in the United States and campaigned for a May date in the memory of her own mom who died the same month. The day was later officially declared by President Wilson, however, Jarvis was disappointed by the commercialization of it. Many countries followed suit with America and adopted May 13 as Mother's Day. We at Latestly, wish everyone celebrating Mother's Day today a 'Happy Mother Day'!
