A Florida high school teacher raised eyebrows recently when she wrote "WTF is this?" on a student’s homework. The mother of the child raised serious concerns about the kind of language that is being used with the children.

But one should always be careful about the environment, the people you are talking to while you use such words. Melinda Smith, the mother of the child was shocked when the teacher allegedly wrote, "WTF is this? absolutely no credit" on top of her son's homework. Her son is studying in the Rutherford High School in Panama City. Smith told WJHG, "[I]t wasn’t anything about not getting the credit, it was more so the language about the writing to students, that was very inappropriate and not acceptable for a teacher whatsoever." The officials at the school were informed about the situation and said they would look into the matter. Meanwhile, Rutherford Principal Coy Pilson said that he has spoken to the concerned teacher about appropriate conduct in the classroom and that she apologised. But she did not want to respond publicly to the situation. He also added that yes, some teachers make mistakes but they always try to correct them. Although it is not sure if any further action would be taken.
