Videos of elephants helping their little ones from pits have been viral in the past too. Last month, video of a herd of elephants helping a calf come out from a river had melted hearts on the internet. The baby elephant had fallen into the water when it went to drink water. The video showed the baby is surrounded by the herd trying to get it out of the dirt with their trunks and legs. The mother eventually got into the water and pushed the baby out.

Mothers are a same everywhere, be it humans, animals or birds. They readily sacrifice and put family ahead of everything. A similar video from South Africa's Kruger National Park showed two elephants helping a baby which sat exhausted in the middle of a road. They managed to finally persuade it to walk along with them.
