Watching videos on YouTube has become a new form of entertainment for years now. But thanks to Indians' obsession with Bollywood and latest songs, one of the largely popular YouTube channels is all set to lose its top spot. PewDiePie, a Swedish vlogger who runs a channel for video game commentary and comic videos, is seeing a setback. In comparison, T-Series started about 4 years earlier than PewDiePie in the year 2006. Back then, not many Indians were streaming videos on YouTube. But today the tables have turned and most people tune in to YouTube to check out the latest song and videos, which T-Series has been consistent with. In fact, in the last few months itself, T-Series is seeing a massive growth that it has been discussed even in online communities. Google Removes 39 YouTube Channels After Suspecting Ties to Iran & Russia Influence Campaigns.

In comparison between PewDiePie and T-Series, the content is very different from each other. PewDiePie's videos view numbers easily goes up to 3-5 million within a day. But according to data analysis from Tubular, PewDiePie will lose the top slot by T-Series, which currently has 66 million subscribers. So collectively the views for Swedish vlogger are less but now even in terms of followers, T-Series will take the bigger piece.

India is only seeing a huge growth in the number of cellphone users. With the easy internet and consistent obsession with Bollywood, most people will tune into YouTube to check their favourite songs. And not just film songs, with independent artists and albums too getting popularity, the growth is inevitable.
