Once again, a miraculous incident is making the headlines when a 5-month-old infant being buried under a pile of sticks and debris in the woods of western Montana survived more than 9 hours. On July 7, the Missoula County Sheriff deputies received a call about a man who was threatening people in the Lolo Hot Springs area of the Lolo National Forest which is located in western Montana, United States. The officials soon reached the spot and arrested the man named Francis Crowley who hinted that a baby was buried somewhere in the woods. A host of departments, including local Search and Rescue officers as well as members of the United States Forest Services, reportedly came together in the search for the missing infant.

It took them six hours before one of the deputies heard a baby's cry. He discovered the baby face down under the pile of sticks and debris. The baby was immediately taken to a hospital. "He suffered some minor scrapes and bruising but overall is in good health," a spokesperson was quoted in a statement released by the Sheriff. It has been further reported that the custody of the infant was placed with the Montana Child and Family Services Division.

The Missoulian informed that Crowley hailed from Portland and was arrested in June in Missoula on a criminal warrant from Oregon, United States. However, the nature of Crowley's relationship with the baby is not evident. The 32-year-old was being held on $50,000 (over Rs. 34 lakhs) bail on a charge of criminal endangerment, and additional charges will follow.
