An elephant at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, Florida tasted freedom as he quietly escaped his enclosure. Ali, the bull elephant from Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch ended up wandering in a courtyard behind the giraffe and elephant barn. The authorities posted the event on Facebook which occurred on June 17 reveals that a gate was accidently left open through which he managed to sneak out of his exhibit. But the elephant could not go very far, and he was out of his plot for full 20 minutes.

However, the zoo authorities said that guests were not harmed as safety protocols were quick at its place. As notorious Ali was found, the staffs used food to entice him back into the enclosure. Looking into the matter, the staffs further informed that it will now strictly monitor their policies to make sure that such escapes are never repeated.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens posted about Ali's adventure on Facebook. 

“While guests were never in danger, safety protocols went into place and and Zoo staff immediately jumped into action to get the big guy back where he belonged. His keepers were able to quickly and safely walk Ali back into his enclosure with some food encouragement,” wrote Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens on their Facebook page.

Ali has been at the zoo since 1997 from Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch. Ali is one of many pets that the King of Pop, Jackson kept at the Neverland Ranch that includes flamingos, tigers and the popular one being Bubbles the chimpanzee, who now stays at Center of Great Apes at Florida and enjoys painting.
