#MeToo in India: Terribly Tiny Tales Co-Founder Chintan Ruparel Steps Down Following Allegations
TTT in an Instagram post stated that Chintan "will not be associated in any way with TTT, indefinitely".
As #MeToo movement gains momentum in India, women are calling out sexual harassers in public. The social media movement which grabbed eyeballs last year reached the Indian shores only recently. After a Bollywood actress levelled allegations against actor Nana Patekar more women came forward with their stories of sexual harassment on social media. Following which, many organisations took a strong stand asking men who have been accused to resign from their work.
Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT) co-founder Chintan Ruparel is the latest to have "stepped down from his position as Chief Content Officer" following "allegations" against him. TTT in an Instagram post stated that Chintan "will not be associated in any way with TTT, indefinitely". #MeToo Movement Encourages Badminton Star Jwala Gutta to Speak Up On Mental Harassment
Expressing shock over the allegations on Chintan, the organisation in the post further states, "We'd like to reiterate that this behaviour, in no way, reflects the work culture and environment at TTT". Clarifying their stand, TTT wrote, "We have always been a close-knit community of writers from all walks of life, and this is affecting each and every one of us. We're here, if you want to ask questions, we're not running away from this."

TTT is quite popular on social media for their short, witty and entertaining stories. Popular YouTube channel and comedy group All India Bakchod (AIB) also came under the fire after one of its founders Gursimran Khamba was accused of harassment. Following which Khamba and Tanmay Bhat were disassociated left the group. Bhat had come under the fire for not taking action against one of their former employees Utsav Chakraborty who was accused of harassment. A number of Bollywood celebrities including actors, directors, producers, singers have come under similar accusations.
