Houston, September 25: You must have seen a young boy clicking a selfie with US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Howdy, Modi event and wondering who is the lucky boy. So he is Satvik Hegde, and he has become an internet sensation after he approached the two leaders while they were interacting with some of the young performers at the event and requested them for a selfie.
The ninth-grade student belongs to Karnataka's Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district. According to an Indian Express report, Satvik’s parents migrated to San Antonio in 2002. His father, Prabhakar Hegde, is an IT professional while his mother Medha Hegde is a teacher in a private school. The young boy was selected from his school to perform Surya namaskar during the event as he is a keen yoga performer. After the boy requests for selfie and gets his mobile phone out, the leaders readily obliged. Trump puts his hand on Modi’s back and they huddle together for a selfie. A video of the encounter has received thousands of shares on Twitter, and the photo of the world's two powerful leaders along with the braces-wearing boy, smiling widely, has gone viral.
