Photo of a bridegroom and his sister saluting the funeral procession of Martyr Ajay Kumar in Meerut has gone viral on social media. According to reports, the bridegroom was sitting on a horse for his barraat when the procession passed by them. On seeing the funeral procession, he stopped the baraat, dismounted the horse and along with his sister, saluted the martyr. As the photo of the bridegroom and his sister saluting the sepoy's procession went viral, people praised their gesture.

Sepoy Ajay Kumar was among the 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers killed in a terrorist attack held in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on February 14. The Sepoy's mother said that India has the power to destroy the Pakistan one day. PTI quoted her as saying, "Pakistan has killed so many sons; Pakistan is not that big that India cannot destroy it. India can destroy it in one day. I am proud of my son, he sacrificed his life for the country."

Last week, four jawans including a Major rank officer died in an encounter with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). On Monday gunned down top Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Abdul Rasheed Ghazi alias Kamran, in a 12-hour-long encounter. Following which the Indian Airforce on Tuesday morning bombed and destroyed JeM's biggest training camp in Pakistan killing a "very large number" of terrorists, trainers and senior commanders. The operation which came following the February 14 suicide attack claimed by JeM was welcomed by all political parties and military experts in India.
