In the American West, tourists from all over the world drive down to its legendary national parks. Many hopes for some close up looks at the region’s iconic fauna—American bison. The Yellowstone National Park in the US state of Wyoming has been preserving this animal for a long time, and they keep warning the visitors to stay away and enjoy the sight of this remarkable animals. After a number of warnings, some persons are not less than a fool, would some way or the other attempt to tease them. Much like in a recent viral video where a man was captured taunting a giant bison, soon enough, he got what he deserved.
New York Post shared the less than one-minute clip that was taken by an onlooker identified as Lindsey Jones. The bison was crossing a road at the park. Traffic has put a halt to allow the animal to pass, just when a man trail behind it. In the video, the man in his comfortable shorts can be seen beating on his chest and approaching the ungulate on the two-way road in Hayden Valley. The man continues to taunt the bison until it turns around and charges him.

The man did not stop after the bison approached him at first. He turns back toward the bison, puffs up his chest and growls. Once again, the bison beelines for his target. A person was heard imploring the man to “Get out of there!” Both the man and the bison go their separate ways before the video ends. The man was indeed fortunate enough not to get hurt. But the things could have ended much worse.
Yellowstone is popular to be known as the only place in the United States where bison have lived continuously since prehistoric times. Every year, the site records million of visitors. The National Park Service advises that individuals should always remain at least 100 yards (about 90 meters) from bears or wolves and at least 25 yards (20 metres) away from all other wildlife.
