Mumbai, November 23: The political drama in Maharashtra reached new heights on Saturday morning when news of Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar taking oath as chief minister and deputy chief minister of Maharashtra took everyone by surprise. As it became clear that Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar joined hands to form the government in Maharashtra, political experts as well as Twitter could not believe what was happening. However, the sudden political development seems to have caught even Sharad Pawar by surprise. The NCP chief tweeted saying that this is Ajit Pawar's personal decision and that NCP does not endorse it. Pawar also made it clear that he has nothing to do with the developments that took place at the Raj Bhavan on Saturday morning. In a strange turn of events, Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday took oath as Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the second time. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar was also sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Both leaders were administered by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhawan.
