Mumbai, November 19: In an incident of extreme animal cruelty that has gone viral after the video clip was shared on WhatsApp, a man was allegedly caught on the camera killing a bull with the JCB. The incident has sparked wide outrage among the farmers, some of who were seen expressing their anger to TV news channels. After the video went viral, NCP leader Nawab Malik also condemned the incident and demanded that the accused be brought to justice. Leaders of various political parties, local members and animal rights activists demanded that the accused be booked under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.

The Maharashtra Police reportedly booked two persons in connection to the case, who are absconding. The incident is said to have taken place last month and the bull which was killed was old and sick.
"We have taken cognizance of the incident after getting several complaints following a social media video which went viral. According to our preliminary investigations, the incident took place on October 27 in Pondwadi village of Indapur taluka in the district," Shaikh told IANS.
