June marks the celebration of LGBTQ+ rights. The month saw the celebration of many Pride parades and event that took place in several parts across the world, honouring love just the way it is. Joining in was London Zoo, which geared up to honour the famous gay penguin couple, Ronnie and Reggie's beautiful bond. Following the Pride 2019 theme, zookeepers are celebrating their love, with an amazing message, “Some penguins are gay. The two Humboldt penguins, Ronnie and Reggie got together in 2014 and a year later, adopted an egg abandoned by another penguin couple. Their amazing love story has made them an internet sensation, as people rejoice with #LoveIsLove. The zoo reported celebrating LGBTQ Pride Month 2019, in early July this year. “Some penguins are gay. Ronnie and Reggie Celebrating Pride Month 2019 

Ronnie and Reggie are not the only gay penguin couple at the zoo. The love birds share their home with 91 other penguins. The London Zoo has a young one-year-old penguin, who hatched during the June LGBTQ Pride Month last year, aptly named “Rainbow.” People online are only applauding the zoo’s initiative and on the night of Pride celebrations, visitors will be able to learn about gender and mating at the animal kingdom.
