In December 2002, Laci’s family and Scott Peterson's lives completely changed when Laci mysteriously vanished from the couple’s home on Christmas Eve. Her sudden absence sent shockwaves in the community. According to reports, Laci’s husband, Scott Peterson, had reported her missing that morning. He claimed that he had spent the day fishing at the Berkeley Marina. A massive search was conducted to find Laci and the couple’s unborn child. The intense search turned from days into weeks.
