Bhubaneswar, July 17: After the International Court of Justice (ICJ) delivered a verdict in favour of India by allowing consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav, sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik welcomed the ruling with his sand art. Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand caricature of Jadhav with a caption “India is with You.” He also wrote "Satyamev jayate" along with the sand art. Earlier in the day, in a big victory for on the global platform, the ICJ granted consular access to Jadhav. The UN court retained its earlier decision to put Jadhav's death sentence on stay. The international court also asked Pakistan to review Jadhav’s conviction. However, the UN court rejected India's argument to nullify the decision of the Pakistan Military court of of the Indian national's conviction. The President of the Court Judge Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf read out the verdict during a public sitting at Hague. Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage and terrorism after a closed trial in April 2017.
