Kiki Challenge Video in Mumbai Local Train Lands Three Youth Unique Punishment; Court Orders Them to Clean Vasai Railway Station

They have been ordered to clean the local railway station for three consecutive days and also inform passengers to refrain from stunts like the Kiki challenge.

Three youngsters who did the Kiki challenge on a moving train have been arrested and asked to clean the Vasai railway station by a local court in Maharashtra's Palghar district. A senior Railway Protection Force official said that the three were arrested on Wednesday and produced in the Vasai railway court. They have been ordered to clean the local railway station for three consecutive days and also inform passengers to refrain from stunts like the Kiki challenge.

The video of the Shyam Sharma (24), Dhruv (23) and Nishant (20) dancing on a moving train had gone viral on social media which alerted the police. The video uploaded a week ago was viewed over 1.5 lakh times.

PTI quoted the official as saying, "We arrested Shyam Sharma from a mall yesterday and he revealed the whereabouts of the other two, who too was arrested soon after. Sharma has previously worked in television serials while the other two have a channel on YouTube."

He said they had been arrested under sections 145 B (indecency or nuisance), 147 (entering railway premises or damaging property) 154 (endangering safety of passengers) and 156 (performing stunts) of the Indian Railway Act. After the Kiki challenge took the internet by storm, Mumbai Police had issued an advisory against taking it up as it posed a threat to their safety.  They had tweeted saying, "Not just a risk for you but your act can put the lives of others at risk too. Desist from public nuisance or face the music!” the police had said on Twitter." The police department of different states also took to the internet against the dance challenge asking people to not put their lives in danger along with others on the road.
