A girl, reportedly from Jammu and Kashmir, has released a video message on social media appealing to the international community to support the abrogation of Article 370 from J&K. In her two-part video message, the girl, named Yana Mirchandani, has tagged US President Donald Trump, United Nations, Israel PMO and China Daily in the tweet carrying her video message. In her message, Mirchandani spoke about why the removal of Article 370 is good for Kashmir. Calling Article 370 a "draconian law", she also said that because of this there has been years of unemployment in the valley. In her video message, Mirchandani said that while she has also not been able to get in touch with her family, she feels safer after the revocation of Article 370. "It is a brave decision and I'm very proud of the decision by my government," Mirchandani said, ending her message with 'Jai Hind'.

Meanwhile, Mirchandani also trolled a Pakistani female journalist who released a placard video criticising the Modi government for its move on Article 370 and Jammu and Kashmir bifurcation.

On Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah introduced a resolution in Parliament to revoke Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and also bifurcate the state into two Union Territories - J&K and Ladakh. The resolution was passed on Tuesday after which a notification was issued by President Ram Nath Kovind to this effect. There has been a lockdown in the valley with Internet services and phone lines having been suspended and prohibitory orders in place. On Wednesday, videos of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval emerged in which he was seen eating lunch with some Kashmiri locals in Sonamarg and speaking to them. PM Narendra Modi will also address the nation at 8 pm on Thursday evening on the historic move by his government.
