Bengaluru, October 18: Schools and colleges in India have gone to extreme lenghts to ensure that no coping takes place in exams. However, a private college in Karnataka forced students to write the exam with their face in cardboard boxes. The weird incident reportedly happened at Bhagat Pre-University College of Haveri district in Karnataka. The picture was reportedly clicked on Wednesday and shared on Facebook on Wednesday itself, said report.

“It’s our college midterm exam today. That is Bhagat PU College, Haveri,” read the caption to the picture.

The college has been issued a notice by the state government, said reports. The government has reportedly asked for explanation from the college for their decision. The college management has reportedly said that the decision to make students wear cardboard box was taken to prevent cheating.

There were reports of widespread cheating having taken place at the college and various institutions last year. The institution decided to come up with the weird plan of making students don cardboard boxes as it would prevent them from coping and peeping into other's answer-sheets. However, the move seems to have backfired.
