The ex-wife of former Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk, Karen, 35, has been branded a hypocrite after she slammed a Cambridge don who stripped off for equality. Dr Victoria Bateman disrobed to protest against gender inequality and the link to economics, arguing that feminism is vital to creating a more 'prosperous, equitable and sustainable economy, but Karen was less than impressed, as reported in Daily Mail.

Karen said in a tweet that she couldn't understand how 'posing nude helps equality' after seeing photos of university lecturer Dr Bateman in the buff bar a few carefully placed five and 20 pound notes. The Cambridge don disrobed after giving a talk, entitled Feminism Meets Economics, at the Office for National Statistics, telling the audience: "Unless economists take feminism seriously, women's rights and free-doms will continue to be under threat." She added: "Economics needs to become intimately familiar with modern-day feminism if we are to make progress."

After seeing the latest shots, Karen raged in a Tweet, "These women don't want to be objectified but do just that with stunts like this. Just be honest, you're getting naked to promote yourself/make the news. Nothing to do with equality." Those who saw the tweet quickly branded the mother-of-two a 'hypocrite', with one saying she herself had 'made a career' out of showing off her cleavage. While another user wrote: "And you're famous as the cleavage displaying, philandering ex MP's wife."

Karen is now divorced and has found love again with a Spanish man named David, who she is set to marry. The duo met last year in Spain and love has blossomed between the pair and they have been pictured canoodling on a number of sun-soaked holidays. On the other hand, Bateman had posed nude four years ago for a portrait shown at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.
