Kannur Police Replicates Beatles' Iconic 'Abbey Road' Album Cover to Promote Road Safety in the Kerala City
Four cops from the Kannavam Police Station in Kannur district posed just like the 1969 album cover stressing on only using zebra lines to cross a road.
The Beatles that entertained generations are now being used to spread the message on road safety. The Kerala Police has used their iconic 'Abbey Road' cover in which the popular four members of the band can be seen walking on the zebra crossing at Abbey Road to stress on the importance of avoiding jaywalking. Four cops from the Kannavam Police Station in Kannur district posed just like the 1969 album cover stressing on only using zebra lines to cross a road.
Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by the Beatles which was released on September 26, 1969. The collector of Kannur, Mir Mohammed Ali shared the photo on Twitter terming it Kannur's Beatles. Sharing the picture on cops imitating the Beatles, he tweeted saying, "Initiative taken by the Station House Officer (SHO) at Kannavam Police Station collaborating with local artists to promote road safety in a remote part of the district." The photo was quick to go viral on social media and garnered a positive response from netizens.
