After months of speculation, Kamal Haasan has announced about the launch his political party. The South Superstar has chosen International Mother Language Day to launch his political party and has also said that Mahatma Gandhi is his hero. South India is no stranger to film heroes taking over political landscape and even ruling it.
After the launch of Kamal Haasan' party, which he will be doing later in the day, fans will eagerly be awaiting for Superstar Rajnikanth to launch his political outfit. This seems to be the season of Megastar party launches. However, Twitter seems amused at the fact of Kamal launching a party and is going gaga with jokes. Here are some selected gems:
If Kamal Haasan enters politics, I'm definetely voting for him.
He'll be a great CM, plus he can also act as the entire cabinet of ministers

Some used the occasion to highlight the fact that Kamal Haasan is perhaps the only actor to do multiple roles in the same film. Remember Dasavathaaram, in which he played 10 roles. Well, some wondered if he would declare himself the candidate for poll in different avatars. Wouldn’t be a bad idea though.

There were obvious references to the similarity between his name and the party symbol of BJP. Check these out
#KamalHaasan has launched his own party. That's so selfish of him considering, BJP has been promoting him since 1980 by telling voters- "Kamal ko vote dein." #KamalPartyLaunch

Seems as if ‘Kamal’ was a favourite amongst the people. Some wondered if BJP would be the symbol of Kamal Haasan party just as BJP had ‘Kamal’ as its symbol
I think Kamal will have BJP as his symbol.
Why?
Why not?
Doesn't BJP have Kamal as its symbol?#SelfThoo

Some compared him to Arvind Kejriwal and said that he is the future Kejriwal in the making. Interestingly, Arvind Kejriwal has gone for the launch of Kamal Haasan’s political party
Another #Kejriwal in making 😂😂😂 #KamalPartyLaunch

Again, speculations of him managing all the portfolios kept surfacing on the microblogging site

One will have to wait and see whether Kamal Haasan manages to bring a change in the complex world of Tamil Nadu politics. His fans have expressed hope and happiness on him launching the party. But Twitter, like always, has already made light work of his attempt. Is there anything Twitter can't mock?
