How do you make your tweet the most retweeted ever? By announcing a USD920,000 (Rs 6,42,52,800) giveaway! Yusaku Maezawa, founder of Japanese online clothing retailer Zozotown set a new record by promising to  100 million Yen to give 100 people if his tweet becomes the most retweeted one ever.

And social media users jumped in trying for some extra cash making Yusaku's tweet go viral. The tweet has been shared over 5.6 million times at the time of publishing this article. Yusaku took to Twitter on Saturday saying that he would randomly select 100 people who retweet his tweet. Yusaku mentioned that he will contact the winners via direct message. And it seems, as the tweet became the most retweeted one ever,  Yusaku tweeted saying that he has already sent the prize money to 100 people as he promised.

Unfortunately, he had only managed 3.8 million retweets. Previously talk show host Ellen DeGeneres's 2014 Oscar selfie with a bunch of celebrities became the third most retweeted one with over 2.3 million retweets.

Zozo is known for its custom-fit line of polka dot suits. Yusaku had earlier grabbed international attention when he announced that he will be a part of Space X's inaugural tourist flight to the moon in 2023. He is to pay an undisclosed amount for the deep space tour owned by Elon Musk.
