Senegal on Tuesday became the first African team to win a match in the 2018 World Cup. The 2-1 win versus Poland definitely called for celebrations and fans put their best reaction on display. They threw everything from caps, whistles, bottles in the air celebrating the win inside the stadium. Senegalese littered the place for sure but did not leave the stadium before they cleared it all.

And with that gesture, it is not just the football team that has become popular but the fans too. The fans who were cheering for their favourite team was later seen cleaning up the mess they created. And it is not just Senegal football team which is in the spotlight for a good gesture but the Japan fans are too!

The Japanese were also seen picking up the garbage they had littered while celebrating their win after defeating Columbia 2-1 in the first group stage match of 2018 World Cup on Tuesday.

Watch Senegal football fans picking up garbage after the match:

This is not the first time the Japanese football fans grabbed headlines for picking up their own trash. During 2014 World Cup in Brazil, fans had similarly stayed back after the match to pick up waste they had littered. Then the Japanese team had lost 2-1 to the Ivory Coast.

Here is the video of Japanese fans doing a similar act:

After videos of the act went viral on social media, sports enthusiasts and others from around the globe took to the internet praising their efforts. Many said that people should take lessons from them and follow suit in their own country. While we talk about being responsible citizens, Senegalese and Japanese football fans paved an example for others to follow.
