Video of a CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir feeding a differently-abled child has gone viral on social media. The clip shows the cop giving food to the boy with his own hands. In the footage, the specially-abled child can be seen sitting on the steps of a shut shop as the officer feeds him. The video was posted by Twitter user @Traluk with the caption, "J&K Police cop feeding a young boy, who seems very hungry. Human love and affection are indeed beyond religion, class, power and position." The video also shows the Sikh officer giving the boy water and wiping his face in between. The Sikh CRPF personnel is driver Iqbal Singh of 49 Batallion. As the video went viral, Iqbal Singh was awarded DG's Disc and Commendation certificate for his kind and humane action. Jammu and Kashmir Police tweeted the video with the caption, "We care." As the video went viral, comments praising the officer began to pour in. The video shared on Twitter by @Traluk has over 45,300 views while the same share on a Facebook page named 'Kashmir News Trust' has more than 77,000 views. Former J&K chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief, Mehbooba Mufti praised the cop's "sense of compassion and humanity". She took to Twitter saying, "Armed forces operating in Kashmir are often tarred with the same brush. But that generalisation can sometimes be grossly unfair. Speaking about the incident, Singh said that he was having his lunch, when he saw a young boy hungry. He offered his food to the child, but realised that the child cannot on its own. So he decided to feed the child during which someone shot the video. Reportedly Iqbal Singh was driving a CRPF convoy on February 14 in Pulwama when terror attack took lives of 40 CRPF personnel. Singh is credited with saving lives of many personnel who were injured in the attack.
