We have all seen detox tea ads and promotions online. We see pretty looking lean women are endorsing detox drinks and claiming that they lost so much weight just by drinking that particular drink. Sometimes some of such celebrities and influencers, endorse products and put out claims that are absolutely unreasonable. However, what happened with Jameela Jamil is a classic example result of irresponsible endorsement. If you don't know what happened, here's a summary- Jameela Jamil called out various celebrities for endorsing detox teas that actually do more harm than good. Cardi B, Kylie Jenner and Demi Lovato Promote Teami Detox Tea For Weight Loss On Instagram: Is Detoxing Healthy?
In a tweet, she mentioned, 'Give us the discount codes to your nutritionists, personal chefs, personal trainers, airbrushers and plastic surgeons you bloody liars.' This was a sarcastic dig at all celebrities she had also uploaded the pictures of. Take a look at the tweet where she called out many influencers some of whom are Cardi B, Iggy Azalea, Khloé Kardashian, etc.

She also had a brief argument with Perez Hilton-
That’s a sad truth @PerezHilton and awful you don’t care about young people, other people’s kids, who get so fucked up by this stuff. By the time a diet company WANTS you to promote their product, you’re already doing better than most and don’t need the laxative cash for ur kids. https://t.co/0b9YItPlMj

She has been receiving a lot of support from her Twitter Fam. Take a look.
I am still amazed people buy into these adverts on their social media accounts because these celebrities basically just get paid a ton of money to promote products they don't even use. I don't think these celebrities care about the damage they are doing as long as they get paid.

What do you have to say?

Agree?
Amen! That could be on a t-shirt: “we don’t need to shit ourselves to be pretty” 😂. Make it happen Jameela!

This is a sad truth!
Seeing adverts like this caused me to develop an unhealthy obsession with my weight, I’d spend pocket money on fad diets. I wish they’d ban adverts on weight loss supplements 😕

She later also posted another tweet where she clarified that she doesn't want any woman 'canceled.' The tweet read, 'I definitely don’t want any woman canceled! I’m hardly perfect! We can all just wake up one day and decide to be more responsible and do better for women! I used to be really ignorant and misguided in my feminism, pretty slut shamey and backwards... we can ALL Change + do more.'

However, she doesn't seem to be in a mood to stop! She recently posted a super hilarious video that took a dig at the detox tea endorsements. You have to watch it to enjoy it.
She has made us think about the loose endorsements on the internet. What do you have to say about it? Let us know in the comments section below!
