The Apple smartphones are known for their durability and water resistance. The phones may be expensive compared to the other counterparts in smartphones but a recent case proves why an iPhone is worth its price. An Apple iPhone 7 was found on the ocean floor with little of its battery drained but well, it was working just fine. What's even more surprising the phone was receiving a network down there, and it received a text message which helped a scuba diver to find it!

The incident took place in the UK, when a scuba diver named Cerys Hearsey found some source of light at the seabed near Durdle Door, Dorset, England. Curiously she moved near the light to find out what it was and was surprised to see the iPhone 7 which had received a text! The phone had been submerged there for 48 hours and had a battery life of 84% when she found out. It was receiving signals, of course, which made it possible for the text. Discounts on Apple Products in India to Go Down, As iPhone Maker Comes Up With New Strategy for Increasing Sales.

The iPhone belonged to a Canadian visitor who had lost it while kayaking. The phone had fallen into the sea and the visitor had no hopes of getting it back. The diver managed to contact the relative of the owner who lived nearby and sent back the fully functional device. The smartphone was sent back to Canada. But while the phone receives all the credit, the user had a protective cover to the phone, which helped to sustain such harsh condition. The Apple iPhone cases are just as strong which helped the phone survive upto 2 days. But had it been more days in the water, it could have been damaged. The Apple iPhone 7 is known for its water resistance but the case was equally important which protected it.
