It appears that Blackpink’s Rosé has a significant hurdle on her way to her solo debut release. K-Pop fans, Blinks have taken to Twitter, sharing screenshots of the singer’s Instagram’s account “roses_are_rosie,” claiming that her Insta profile has been shadowbanned. Blinks went ahead screen recording the Instagram feed as “proof,” urging Instagram to lift the shadowban. It has all happened when the K-Pop queen is ready to make her solo debut with the single “All My Love is Gone.” The singer has been extremely excited about her solo project, which after a long wait, would finally hit this month.

Rosé has recently released her solo debut poster and announced that the song would be out on March 12, 2021. Although the title is still reportedly under wraps but posters are intriguing nonetheless. Right before the Blackpink star begins with her solo promotion, her fans now claim that Instagram has shadowbanned the K-Pop crooner’s profile.

What is a shadowban? Instagram’s shadowban refers to the act of blocking a user’s content in such a way that the user does not know it’s happening. If you are shadowbanned on Instagram, your content won’t appear on anyone’s feed unless they already follow you. But according to reports, the Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, claimed in 2019 that “shadowbanning is not a thing. If someone follows you on Instagram, your photos and videos can show up in their feed if they keep using the feed.”

But netizens witnessed Rosé’s profile visibility restrictions, which could be a challenge to the K-Pop queen as she is all set to promote her upcoming and most-awaited solo project. To “prove” their concern, Blinks have recorded the Instagram feed showing that from Rosé’s profile, Blackpink members Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa’s come in with a suggestion. But when they go to their respective profiles, Rosé’s Instagram page is not appearing, which suggests the shadowban.
