Dog lovers, do we even need a day to appreciate the pooches? Not really. But a day that appreciates all dogs is marked every year on August 26. This day is celebrated as International Dog Day. Also termed as Dog Appreciation Day, it aims to spread awareness of dog adoption, irrespective of their breeds. The day also talks more about providing rescue dogs with a safe and loving home.
