People across the world are gearing up to celebrate 5th International Day of Yoga 2019 and so are the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel. The video of the armed police forces is going viral on social media platforms, showing the Himveers doing Yoga and breathing exercises, as they prepare themselves to host the International Day of Yoga, on June 21. Bracing the biting temperatures of Ladakh, the paramilitary force is seen performing the Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) and other Yoga asanas, reportedly at an altitude of 18,000 feet in Ladakh. The video of the ITBP personnel acing the yoga postures in the ice, has been shared by news agency, ANI on their Twitter handle. Their accurate yoga skill is impressing the netizens and the video so far has garnered over 7,500 views (still counting) and many comments praising the brave jawans.

This is not the first time that the ITBP personnel has been captured actively participating to promote Yoga Day. Last year, the officials have tweeted images of the armed police forces participating in a special yoga training session in the high altitude areas. At the beginning of this week, photos of 36 Battalion ITBP in Lohaghat, Uttarakhand, surfaced on the internet, showing their preparations for International Yoga Day 2019. The theme for World Yoga Day 2019 is “Yoga for Heart,” and many major places are expected to observe with the event with great enthusiasm.
