Remember Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer Aitraaz? The one where an employee gets falsely accused of rape by his own boss? What was the conclusion that we derived from its tale? It revolved around how some women misuse the same law that was initially made to protect them. There are tons of real-life cases where innocent men were victims of false accusations and they had to pay a heavy price for no mistake. Karan Oberoi Rape Case: Pooja Bedi Defends the Actor, Says ‘Many Women Use Law for Vendetta’.
A new documentary titled India's Sons by Deepika Bhardwaj too highlights the same issue and Twitterati is already in love with the same. They can't stop raving about its trailer that was released almost a week back and are doing their bit to make it socially popular. According to the director, the documentary aims to start a dialogue over misuse of rape laws and reveal the unsaid truth behind India's tag of a rape capital.

An eyeopener
Saw #IndiasSons trailer and was really an eye opener. In the name of saving our daughters we have gone so extreme that we have made our sons very vulnerable.

Topic of discussion - gender equality
#IndiasSons I recommend everyone should watch it. Men are not just who are only for protecting the #women
Laws should be altered. #genderequity is applicable for all Males and Females. Laws should also act in the same way. And have to protect the victims either it is Male/female.

The movie by Deepika Bhardwaj is currently in its production stage and her entire unit is relying hard on crowdfunding to help its release. "This crowdfund will help us with post-production, marketing, screenings and distribution of the film and also take it to nook and corners of the world," she said in her post on Milaap (India's largest crowdfunding site).
