Indian Soldiers Teach Bhangra to Chinese Troops, Dance Together in This Viral Video

The jawans were seen bonding at the 7th India and China joint military exercise Hand-in-Hand 2018 at Chengdu in China.

A video going viral on social media shows Indian soldiers teaching Bhangra lessons to Chinese troops much to the amuse of social media users. The jawans were seen bonding at the 7th India and China joint military exercise  Hand-in-Hand 2018 at Chengdu in China. Indians who were in high spirits were seen making the Chinese match steps to the Bhangra enjoying the light moment thoroughly. The clip got viral on social media after the Indian Army shared it on their Instagram and Twitter handles.

ADG PI shared the video on social media platforms with the caption, "Troops of Indian Army & Chinese Army sharing lighter moments after practising gruesome Battle Obstacle Course." 'c which is focused on counter-terrorism operations is being held in southwest China's Chengdu city from December 10 to December 23. Need for Indians and Chinese to Learn Each Other's Language: Sushma Swaraj.

A statement said that company size contingents of 11 SIKHLI from Indian Army and a regiment from Tibetan Military District of People’s Liberation Army participated in the exercise. The Indian contingent was led by Col Puneet Pratap Singh Tomar, Commanding Officer, 11 SIKHLI, while the Chinese contingent was led by Col Zhou Jun. Major General Kuang Dewang.

The light moment shared by the troops of two countries comes a year following the Doklam standoff. The Chinese defence ministry had in November said that the militaries of China and India should "work hand in hand" for the benefit of people of the two countries. Chinese Defence Ministry spokesman Col Ren Guoqiang said that China and Pakistan will hold 7th joint air force exercises in Bholari air force base in Pakistan from November 30 to December 23.

Following the standoff in Doklam in the Sikkim sector of the border in 2017, the militaries of both countries tried to improve relations following an informal summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in the Chinese city of Wuhan in April this year.  Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra and Lt Gen Shao Yuanming, Deputy Chief of Joint Staff Department of Central Military Commission, also participated in talks and discussed bilateral relations, military ties, border control along with regional and international issues.
