West Indies all-rounder Rovman Powell hit a century today leading his team to the Super Six stage of the ICC World Cup 2018 qualifiers. But not without smashing the window of the press box of the stadium with the hit. The right-handed batsman later returned after the West Indies' victory to sign an autograph against the broken glass window.

However, he couldn't go ahead from there as he got out on the fourth ball of the last over to Tim Murtgah. Powell received a standing ovation from the crowd and his teammates as he walked off the stadium. It was Powell and captain Jason Holder who took ahead West Indies to a third straight win which confirmed their spot in the Super Sixes.

Here is the video of Powell breaking the glass window with a six and later signing it:

Powell's innings brought life to the former World Cup champions after they had reduced to 83/5 in the group A match. West Indies posted a total of 257/8 in 50 overs. In the process, the Windies secured a strong position in the tournament. It was the best score by a West Indian coming in at No.7. With the score, Powell became the first West Indies player and the 16th player overall to score an ODI century while batting at No.7.
