And passengers on the American Airlines flight from Chicago, Illinois, to Omaha, Nebraska couldn't believe that they were flying with a horse. Now, videos of the pony walking across the airport had gone viral on social media. Clips of Flirty, the pony boarding the flight from Chicago in Illinois with its owner was shared widely on multiple social media platforms. Another video shows Flirty sleeping with its owner onboard the flight. A Twitter user shared the video with the caption, "At this time we would like to begin boarding with any active duty military, families travelling with children under the age of 3, and horses."

People with mental health issues like anxiety and depression often travel with the emotional support animals. The horse has an Instagram page with thousands of followers. In a post, the woman says that she couldn't have a support dog as she is allergic to them.

An American Airlines spokesperson told The Independent, “This miniature horse was a trained service animal, which American Airlines accepts onboard following evaluation on a case-by-case basis. The US Department of Transport told CBS 62, "With respect to animal species, we indicated that we would focus our enforcement efforts on ensuring that the most commonly used service animals (dogs, cats, and miniature horses) are accepted for transport." Airlines can be fined for separating humans from their animals.
