The United States President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump may not ever get to know about this piece of news, but she is the protagonist in this story. A group of residents of Marredpally in Telangana has cleared the mess on a 40ft road and named it KTR-Ivanka Trump Road. None of them is a fan of the American businesswoman, but it's only her name who could have brought light to the condition on the busy Sangeet Crossroads beside St John's Junior College.
So, taking a dig at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and K. T. Rama Rao who only cares for roads when celebrities pass through it, they have named the 200-metre stretch after Ivanka Trump. Last year in November, major parts of Hyderabad and Cyderabad received a facelift ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ivanka Trump's visit.

The selective development by the state government purely targetted at the highly political visit received widescale criticism on social media and otherwise. Protests were held in various parts of the state demanding renovation in their areas. City residents took to Twitter sarcastically asking Ivanka to visit their area frequently, so that the roads were maintained in good condition.
Around 50 locals and activists of 'Save Bison Polo Ground' conducted the repair works on Sunday evening. Their initiative has gone viral on social media with internet users hailing their approach towards the government which doesn't bother about a faction of the society. Reportedly, GHMC had spent close to Rs. 70 crore for the facelift to roads and its beautification on the routes on which Ivanka had travelled.
