Guests Fight Over Shortage of Plates at a Wedding Ceremony in UP! One Dead, Four Injured
After some time, it was found that no plates were left to serve food to the invitees which angered the people and led to heated exchange of words, said police official.
One person dead while four others were left injured as guests at a wedding ceremony in Vikrampur area in Uttar Pradesh came to blows after the event organisers ran out plates for serving food for them, as reported in Hindustan Times.
“The guests arrived at the ceremony Saturday night where some of them were served snacks and other eatables. After some time, it was found that no plates were left to serve food to the invitees which angered the people and led to heated exchange of words,” said Nanhu Yadav, station officer of Maniyar. The brawl left five people injured and they were taken to a nearby hospital, Yadav added. One of them, Vishal (20), succumbed to injuries while being taken to the hospital. Yadav further added that they are investigating the incident.
Earlier this year, in April, a groom in Uttar Pradesh was accidentally shot dead during a celebratory gun firing. It is noteworthy that earlier too such incidents had been reported and therefore the UP-government time and again reiterated that celebratory gun firing during wedding is not allowed.
