Girl Falls to Death From a Cliff While Looking For a Toilet in East Sussex

A 22-year-old girl who visited Beachy Head in East Sussex lost her life when she was searching for a place to pee! Faye Reed was apparently drunk and plunged to death from the cliff when she was looking for a toilet. Her friends heard her screaming and when they were on the lookout for her, she was just gone! Police and coastguard helicopters were called to search for her body and they found her body at the foot of the cliff early next morning. Her friends Charmane Dixon and Nicole Davies were driving along and having a bit of gin and tonic in the car. They asked the driver to stop somewhere because they were looking for a washroom. Charmane said in the inquest, "The three of us got out of the car and started walking to find somewhere to go. It was really dark. The police officers soon arrived at the scene and saw that the friends were devastated. They were screaming Faye's name and searching for her. The place where the incident took place there was just a stretch of grass and the edge of the cliff. A toxicology report showed Faye had drunk only little amount of alcohol that night. Faye's father described her as someone who lived her life to the fullest. A case of accidental death was recorded later on.
