Gillette's latest advertisement is a beautiful message showing a great bond between a father and son. Keeping the rainbow flag high, the ad promotes the topics of diversity and acceptance. The commercial shows how the father of a transperson teaches him to shave his beard. The ad brings a personal touch to the relationship of the father-son with the dad sharing his secret shaving code. Crafted specifically highlighting the importance of inclusivity, the ad has received a warm response on social media. Titled 'First Shave, the story of Samson', Gillette shared the ad on their Facebook page with the caption, "Whenever, wherever, however it happens – your first shave is special." The video has received over four lakh views and more than 3,800 shares. Samson commented on the Gillette's post saying, " Thank you so much, Gillette, for allowing me to share such an important moment in a man's life with my father. I look forward to the great things you're going to continue doing to encourage us all to be our best selves.  Love y'all greatly!  #MyBestSelf" The ad comes after Gillette's ad against toxic masculinity had garnered mixed reactions from social media users. The commercial had garnered a lot of criticisms with many discard their Gillette products and sharing pictures of social media. #BoycottGillette was among top trends on Twitter.

Samson also shared a long post on his Facebook thanking Gillette and his father for support and love. He writes, "With the help of Gillette, I was able to share an important milestone in every man's life with my father." Samson further says, "I am confident that this ad will encourage many of my trans siblings and fill them with the knowledge that our existence in this world can be filled with the love and support we deserve." He concludes saying, "It's not just myself transitioning. It’s everyone around me transitioning."
