A Malaysian resident spotted a monitor lizard chilling on the fence of his house in Johor. People online are scared looking at the terrifying pictures of the giant creature.
When any member of the animal kingdom pays a visit to the human-dominated area, the moment is sure to go viral online. Not that it occurs very often, but whenever they do, people online are either fascinated or extremely frightened. And the reactions are worth debating. So, when a Malaysian resident spotted a monitor lizard, he decided to capture the rare moment and share it on social media. Dubbed as “Godzilla” because of its feature and size, the lizard was seen chilling on the fence of a man’s house in Johor. Identified as Long Cherng Yee, the middle-aged looking man, was shocked to see the giant creature, hanging at the enclosure of his house. He clicked several pictures of the lizard, which appeared to be in its chilling mood. The dogs in the area, however, were not pleased by the sight, so they decided to approach and investigate the new visitor. After the images of the monitor lizard went viral, another social media user, Nyoman Indra K. took it to Twitter, which gained thousands of retweets and comments. He captioned, "Excuse me, sir. Do you have time to talk about our lord and savior, Godzilla???" The reactions on the viral tweet are hilarious.

It is not known from where the monitor lizard came out to visit the local area and no other information has been reported so far. But Long posted a photo in the comments showing Emergency Medical Rescue Service personnel at the scene.

Some people online staunchly believed that the lizard had appeared to bring the man good luck, while others chose to remain horrified and not talk much about it. We hope that the lizard has been rescued and returned to its natural habitat, safely. Monitor lizard, is a species native to Asia, Africa, and Oceania, capable of growing up to three meters in length.
