Ganesh Chaturthi is around the corner and preparations are in full swing. Mumbai witnesses large-scale celebrations throughout the 10 days with pandals being set up at every nook and corner of the street. People bring Ganpati idols home with singing and dancing. And the Ambanis are celebrating the festival with great pomp and fervour. The affluent family is known for hosting a grand Ganesh event which sees Bollywood stars in attendance. And this year calls for all the more celebrations at the Ambani household as two of their children got married in the past year. According to the invitation card, the Mukesh and Nita Ambani are planning to throw a bash at their home on Monday. Reportedly, the function will begin at 9 pm with an Aarti followed by dinner. The 10-day-long Ganesh Chaturthi will begin on September 2. The festival celebrates the birthday of Lord Ganesha and is observed in the month of Bhadra (August-September) according to the Hindu Calendar. The festival begins on Shukla Chaturthi which is the fourth day of the waxing moon period and ends on the 14th day of the waxing moon period known as Anant Chaturdashi.
