In a horrific incident, a 20-year-old French bullfighter was gored by a bull in the middle of a performance. The animal charged at him leaving him injured in the backside. The incident happened in close to the southern city of Marseille in France, the bullfighter's hometown.
The bullfight was a part of Feria de Paques Easter festivities in Arles, southern France when the animal went out of hand sending the viewers into a frenzy. Sunday was Easter Feria marks the beginning of the French bullfighting season where Andy Younes was performing. He was granted the performance in front of his home crowd.
Younes who first entered the bullring as a five-year-old has been regularly performing since then. While Younes' performance timing was curtailed due to the goring, the spectators gave him a standing ovation. He was carried out of the arena by fellow participants on shoulders.

This is not the first time, the French bullfighter got injured during a bullfight, he has been involved in multiple such incidents. Last July he was seriously injured during a warm-up session with Spanish matador Juan Miguel at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid.
Horrifying footages of the incident showed a raging bull charging at Juan Miguel. His neck was cut so deep that it affected his thyroid gland. Younes was also seriously injured by the same bull with injuries in both thighs and ankle. He also suffered a traumatic brain injury on the right side of his head.
