Happy fourth of July to all the people celebrating. On July 4, 1776, the United States of America acquired independence. The Continental Congress declared the 13 colonies will no longer serve Britain and its rule. The Congress decided to pick the date as July 2 but it wasn’t till the fourth day of July that the independence was announced.
