The start of the year is the awards season. Several big award ceremonies are held looking back at the year in Bollywood. Recently the Filmfare Awards took place and got everyone talking on social media about who won big at the night. Be it the outfits some stars chose or the films which deserved awards, everything is discussed on social media. But recently it was a goof up by a media company which got everyone talking. During the Filmfare awards, they also kept tweeting about the ceremony and who won what. At the same time, women’s magazine Femina was also sharing the updates and in a hurry they tagged a wrong person. Actor Irrfan Khan won the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (male) for his film Hindi Medium. While tweeting about it, Femina tagged cricketer Irfan Pathan instead of the actor.

Irfan Khan has proved to be a great performer and he totally deserved the award. While it was among the trends, everyone happened to notice it. But Pathan was more of a sport for the mistake. He noticed this and replied to them asking the organisers to send his award home. The 63rd edition of the Filmfare awards was held on 20th January in Mumbai. It is one of the reputed award ceremonies Bollywood fans look upto. So everyone was tuned in to the updates. When the wrong person was tagged by Femina, some users were quick enough to point out the error to them. It was Irfan Pathan’s quick reply with an added humour which was more convincing.

Among the other big winners were Vidya Balan for Best Actor in a Leading Role (female) award for her film Tumhari Sulu. Hindi Medium also won the award for the Best Film. Well, we are sure all the fans are waiting eagerly to see the awards night to be telecast on TV.  Check the full list of winners here.
