Australian Model Suzel Mackintosh was mauled by a dog leaving her face completely bruised. Red scratch marks filled one side of her face after a Staffordshire-pit bull crossbreed mauled her. Mackintosh had to spend a week in the hospital and undergo plastic surgery after the attack on New Year's Eve. However, the 23-year-old still finds it difficult to move her upper life as the muscle has been damaged.

She said the dog attacked her after she patted him insisting that she did nothing to provoke it. She was visiting her friends in south-west Australia's remote Pemberton area where the dog charged at her. After the surgery, Mackintosh thought that her hopes of becoming a model shattered. Her recently uploaded pictures show that the scratches have started diminishing.

However, on completing her medication, Ms Mackintosh returned to Britain to pursue her modelling dreams. While she lives in London, Mackintosh is originally from Perth in Australia. She shared her journey on social media only to be trolled by most social media users. However, that couldn't bring her down and the model continued to face abusers by uploading more pictures of her. Ignoring the hate, she now plans to become a spokesman for victims of domestic abuse.

Mackintosh then went made a video with online comic Jack Jones, which has more than 2million views. Mackintosh said the dog owner did not apologise for the incident, which she says "hurts more than the injuries". Daily Mail quoted her saying, "She added, "I want other women to know that no matter what, you should still do the things you want to do."
