Mumbai, August 27: A video is doing rounds on the internet wherein a man can be seen dressed as an astronaut walking on potholes in the city shown as the Moon's surface. In the minute-long video, the man can be seen carefully walking on the road as if he is on the Moon's surface. The video has garnered significant attention on social media amid the backdrop of ISRO-led Chandrayaan 3's successful landing on the south pole of the Moon.
Various users on X, formerly Twitter, shared the video, claiming it is from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur. One user took to X and shared the video with the caption, "Ooo guys this is not Moon it just a world class roads of Kanpur." Another user sarcastically wrote, "Our Kanpur is also no less than the moon," in Hindi. However, upon fact-checking, we at LatestLY found that the viral video is actually of Bengaluru. The video was first posted on social media in 2019 by an artist based in Bengaluru. Baadal Nanjundaswamy recorded the video and posted it four years ago to highlight the plight of people of the city who have to deal with potholes on the roads on a regular basis. Since then, the video has gained more than 7,142 Reposts, over 1,537 Quotes, nearly 23.5 thousand likes, and 297 users have bookmarked it.
