New Delhi, March 3: A viral news is doing rounds on social media platforms claiming that only candidates of the unreserved category can apply for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) lateral entry recruitment 2021. The fake post claims that lateral entry recruitment is for 30 posts of Joint Secretary and Director. The UPSC is India's premier central recruiting agency for public servants. The claim states: "It has been claimed that only candidates of unreserved category can apply for the lateral entry recruitment issued by UPSC for 30 posts of Joint Secretary and Director". Dismissing the fake claims, a fact check by Press Information Bureau (PIB) said that the claim is fake and stated that all candidates with requisite qualifications can apply for these posts.
