After the ICC World Cup match between India and Pakistan, a photograph of Indian National Congress Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor with a group of women is going viral on Social Media. Several netizens have claimed that Tharoor is with “Pakistani cricketers’ wives.” A Twitter user in a post said, "There's more to winning a cricket match, than just players hitting a ball... 😜 Here's a convincing reason why we won the match - Shashi Tharoor with Pakistan's cricket wives."'

The photograph is also making rounds on Facebook and Whatsapp. Several netizens have also believed to the claim and reacted to it. As per Shashi Tharoor's tweet, the women in the picture are of Indore’s Entrepreneurs’ Organisation and not the wives of Pakistani cricketers. So the images shared on the internet have been mispresented and claims are placed out of context.

Meanwhile, on June 16, in an ICC World Cup 2019 match between India and Pakistan, the team in green was defeated by 89 runs (DLS method). Pakistan had scored 212 runs of 336 to win. Indian team vice-captain Rohit Sharma was the highest run scorer for the men in blue. While, Vijay Shankar, Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya registered two wickets, respectively.
