Every 90s Kid's Wait Is Over! Ash Ketchum Becomes Pokemon Master After 22 Years, Finally

The wait for the 90s kids all over the world is over as Ash Ketchum finally became the Pokemon Master. In the latest episode of Pokemon: Sun & Moon series, Ash defeated Gladion in the finals and conquered the Aloha league. All the 90s kids are well into their adulthood now and may have stopped following the Pokemon series. But the news of Ash becoming the Pokemon Master is sure to have made them emotional. The first episode of the Pokemon series aired in April 1997 and it took 22 years for the protagonist to achieve his dream. Ash took part in as many as nine Pokemon Leagues and clinched the title in the last one.

The Pokemon series is about a world where creatures (Pokemons) with great powers live with humans. The humans capture these Pokemons in a device called Pokeball and train them to become powerful. Ash is the protagonist of the series who has a flamboyant personality and wants to become the best Pokemon trainer aka the Pokemon Master. Ash’s partner in his quest is Pikachu who is a mouse-like creature with an ability to deliver electric shocks. In order to become the best trainer, one has to fight their Pokemons in the Pokemon leagues and defeat all the other trainers to win the title.

Before being crowned as a champion in the Aloha league, Ash participated in Indigo, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnho, Unova and Kalos league. Ash Ketchum’s journey was filled with thrill, drama and a lot of emotions. The Japanese anime had a lot of moments that would have made the kids cry and also some very hilarious moments. However, as Ash has finally fulfilled his dream, it will be interesting to see what will happen in the next Pokemon series.
