EasyJet Passenger Ends Up Flying Plane as Pilot Fails to Arrive on Time (Watch Video)

A passenger who was planning to sit back and relax during his flight, had a rather hectic one. The father was on a plane to Spain where he was to go for a holiday, but the pilot was nowhere to be seen. Michael Bradley, an EasyJet pilot himself, who was with his family, was tired of waiting for a flight from Manchester, England, to Alicante, Spain. The passengers were informed about the last-minute changes as Michael go ready to fly. The announcement was appreciated and applauded by passengers. One of them took to Facebook praising Michael's gesture. The video shows Michael standing near the plane' door explaining the situation to passengers. The video of the announcement has gone viral on the internet collecting more than 3,000 likes.

Michael was quoted as saying, "I phoned up easyJet and said 'Hiya, I'm standing in the terminal doing nothing. I have got my licence with me – deliberately from being punched in the back of the head at 3 am – I have got my ID with me and I'd very much like to go on holiday. And if you need a favour I'm standing here ready to go."
He said that the airline called him 38 seconds later saying, "Please, please, pretty please with a big cherry on top, can you fly the aeroplane to Alicante?" Michale told them, "So if you're alright for one of your pilots to look like this today, we'll go to Alicante."
An EasyJet spokesperson praised Mr Bradley for "going the extra mile". They added, "We are grateful to one of our pilots who was travelling on holiday from Manchester to Alicante on 2 September with his family and volunteered to operate the flight." The EasyJet flight was delayed on Sunday due to the knock-on effects of a French Air Traffic Control (ATC) failure.
